Processing grief looks different for everyone.
A person’s experience with grief depends on their personality and their relationship with the person who has passed.
The staff at Hospice East is available to help you through this experience.
It is our goal to help individuals accept the loss by assisting them to identify and express feelings related to the death (i.e., anger, guilt, anxiety, helplessness, or sadness).
Please let us know if you would like to talk to someone from our bereavement staff. We may be reached at 859-744-9866 or 800-398-9866
Grief Support Groups
We know that the pain is often easier when shared with those around you.
Because we know this, we offer monthly grief groups at our Clark and Powell offices.
These groups are open to the public, and help connect families who have experienced loss.
The groups meet every fourth Tuesday and are led by our bereavement specialists, our social workers.
Please join us!
Memorial Services
Every November we honor the lives of the loved ones we have cared for and join the friends and families in celebrating those lives.
This is a special time to remember those who have passed away by sharing stories over dinner or through quiet reflection during the service.
This service also allows friends and families to reconnect with the Hospice Team.
The Compassionate Friends
The death of a child of any age, from any cause is a shattering experience for a family.
The Compassionate Friends is a national organization offering friendship, understanding, and hope to bereaved parents and their families.
