What We Do

The term “hospice” was originally used to describe a place of shelter and rest for weary or sick travelers on long journeys.

Today, hospice care refers to care for the patient whose terminal illness is no longer being aggressively treated.

Hospice care addresses all of the symptoms of the illness with special emphasis on controlling the patient’s pain and discomfort while providing support, care, and consideration during the adjustments of the patient and family to the terminal illness.
