We realize that sometimes pain or symptoms cannot be controlled in your home setting. During these times, we are able to continue our hospice services in a hospital or other inpatient care center. Once symptoms are back under control, you can return home.
Often the caregiver for a patient is a family member who provides around the clock care. We know that this can become exhausting and overwhelming at times. If your caregiver needs a temporary break from their responsibilities, families may request a temporary stay in a hospital or other inpatient care center for up to five days. We will continue to provide quality care through this time.
Sometimes a patient has an increased skill need requiring close medical attention. When this occurs, we are able to place one of our qualified licensed practical nurses to provide around the clock care in the home until the crisis ceases.
